Making an Impact: Grant Delivers Materials for ClearView Warehouse Improvements
January 26, 2024
By Columbia Community Foundation

Clearview Church was recently awarded a grant of $12,076 from The Columbia Community Foundation for construction materials to help with renovations on their warehouse which houses an overstock of food, beverages, hygiene and other essentials as well as out of season resources.  ClearView provides services to the Columbia Local School District, Lorain County Children Services and multiple congregations and nonprofits across Lorain, Medina and Cuyahoga counties.

The Columbia Community Foundation board members, Greg Modic, Shawn Ondrejko and Jason Friscone volunteered their time to help with the renovations.  Beyond assisting onsite, they reached out to community partners and responded to project inquiries to ensure the upcoming deadline of February 2024 is met.

Donovan Reed, Pastor at ClearView Church who helped secure the grant said, “We are excited to see the progress in the renovations and are thankful for all of the volunteers who have pitched in to make this project possible.  We look forward to seeing it through to completion and we will celebrate when the warehouse is back to fully functioning, facilitating resources into our community and operating out of this improved space!”

ClearView Church and The Columbia Community Foundation are excited to share more details once the renovations are complete.  Thank you to everyone who has helped with this project.  It’s truly a testament of our community coming together to make a positive impact.
